compassionate personnel in the field of veterinary technician, one can readily surmise how this particular career choice is not a good fit for most people; rather, it is a vocational
decision made with the heart instead of the head. Indeed, this field is not one where a halfhearted effort can sustain ones intent; rather, veterinary medicine demands a pledge
of commitment to the health and welfare of animals that I can honestly say has long been a significant component of my entire life. There is no question in
my mind that I have chosen the appropriate field for my talents and intrinsic interest, which is an assertion easily recognized by the level of involvement I have had with
animals since childhood. There is nothing in this world from which I gain more enrichment or to which I am more committed than that of animal health and welfare.
Bringing personal achievement together with professional accomplishment means a great deal to my future success as a veterinary technician. Missy, my fourteen-year-old
Yorkshire terrier is the best example of how far my dedication runs where animals are concerned. My deep bond with her enabled me to detect a life-threatening illness that
