planning to enter the marketplace with sunglasses as Action Accessories first product. This is a very mature market and Russo will have to find a way to clearly differentiate
his product from the others already being sold. He also faces strong competition from two well established companies, Bonneau Company and Oakley Company. Hes also trying to penetrate
the Chinese marketplace, which is very risky in itself. Although Chinas huge population and increasing openness with the West are attractive, political issues make the future there somewhat uncertain.
At the moment, U.S.-China relations are fairly stable, but Taiwan is always a delicate issue, and Chinas human rights abuses tend to draw protests on occasion. The situation,
in other words, is changeable. Marketing Strategy and Accounting Practices The strategy of most concern here is that Evan plans to manufacture his sunglasses in China
