more than simply wishing for them. Dreams can come true if these dreams provide the motivation one needs to work for them. This is a valuable lesson that can be
applied to every aspect of life, but is particularly true when considering academic achievement. The realization that in order to make dreams and goals possible requires hard work brings
up the question of what, exactly, the person has to do. If a student wishes to excel in high school and achieve the grades that are necessary to get into
a good college or university, the student must be prepared to budget time, anticipate problems and seek help when problems arise. I love to sing and enjoy being part of
my school chorus. (The student should give an example taken from the students personal experience.) However, if I should find that this extracurricular activity takes up too much of my
time and interferes with my study time and achieving my goals, I should be prepared to give it up in order to achieve my dreams. The same thing can be
said in regards to all of the numerous activities that to which teenagers devote their time, i.e., video games, tweeting, texting, and so forth. Having social contacts is an important
part of being a teenager and also plays an important role in the overall high school experience; however, in order to achieve my dreams and goals, I realize that academics
have to come first. In order to have a well-rounded high school experience, I anticipate budgeting my time so that all of roles and responsibilities are addressed in addition
