to have a way of measuring the employees performance to see if they are meeting the agreed upon standards. This paper uses an actual job description to create a list
of accountabilities, objectives and standards for an employee. Discussion The place to start in creating the list is with accountabilities, which are the things the employee is expected to focus
on. According to the job description, the person is responsible for providing "analytical support for sourcing projects impacting business units" (Measuring results and behaviors, p. 113). In English, this means
that the Disney Company is broken down into smaller entities which operate relatively independently of one another (the "unit" designation), and the job entails analyzing the impact of sourcing projects
on the unit. "Sourcing projects" is a very vague term, and doesnt indicate whether Disney will be outsourcing jobs, or if they are going to analyze potential sources (i.e. vendors)
that will be working with them. Common sense would suggest its the latter. Since this is listed first, presumably its the most important function of the position. Second, the person
has to "benchmark" current pricing and develop "new approaches to pricing/buying ... that yield creative and business advantage" (Measuring results and behaviors, p. 113). Benchmarking means comparing Disneys pricing to
that of its competitors to see how it stands in relation to rest of the marketplace. Third, the person will be asked to continue trying to increase the percentage of
