for spreading their message worldwide, the Branch Davidian held many of the same beliefs as other militia groups by contending that government works against the people; they feel it is
their duty to all citizens to address and counteract such hypocritical actions. The standoff that took place in Waco set a precedent for the intensifying nature of militia threat,
inasmuch as the groups unexpected burning death forced the entire nation to take an even closer look at what compels certain people to embrace such a violent approach toward government.
The arsenal of food and weaponry housed by David Koresh and the Branch Davidians, which prepared them to wait out any legal infiltration on their compound, ultimately hastened their
own deaths when the standoff became violent, setting the stage for even greater political rebellion. Militia groups have long been at the forefront
of controversy with their indignation toward government and strong-arm tactics. These ordinary citizens believe that the entire country is being deceived by the very bureaucracy that it is supposed
to protect. They staunchly support the idea of running headlong into the bureaucratic problem, wheeling firearms and taking control, because they believe that is the only way fraudulent government
