The biggest skepticism was reserved for the fact that, instead of a keyboard, the iPhone boasted a touch screen that, on demand, would call up a "virtual" keyboard. This meant
that the screen itself could be expanded for other things; most notably, web browsing. Well, one company that wasnt skeptical about the
touch screen (or consumer reaction go it) was Research-in-Motion, which then proceeded to step onto the iPhones turf with its BlackBerry Storm. At last, BlackBerry users would have an answer
to the iPhone - and they could still have the touch screen and the "feel" of an iPhone. There are a few
things in common between these two devices, most notably, the touch screen (versus keyboard/pad) (Elmer-DeWitt, 2008). Theyre not too far off in size - in fact, a casual glance at
both devices might be difficult to determine the differences between the two. But there are several differences, and in this paper, well compare and contrast them. Well also point out
that, despite the fact that the Blackberry Storm 2 tends to find favor among the business users and other types, Apples iPhone 3G is stronger because of its web browser
capabilities, its Wi-Fi abilities, its iTunes links and the fact that more plans in Canada are available for this device. BlackBerry Storm
