families where this happens are poor, uneducated, or substance abusers. But everyday, or so experts state, in the best neighborhoods, in the most educated of families, behind the closed doors
of some of the most upstanding citizens in a community, a child is abused. Childhood abuses are a legacy that most never wanted and most wish they didnt have. As
survivors of childhood abuses, adults must come to terms with their abuses, their abusers and reconstruct a more healthy view of themselves. One tool that psychologists have been utilizing over
the past few years is that of Anger Therapy. However, there are those that state that this anger therapy, while giving clients temporary help, actually only serves to perpetuate the
cycle of violence. It is estimated that two out of ten children suffer abuse by the time they reach eighteen years of age(Bach,1974). Of course, this has to be considered
to be a conservative figure, since a good deal of the time this crime is not reported, or, in the case of many children, is repressed and not remembered. According
to Dr. Carol Boulware, who specializes in psychiatric help for adult survivors of childhood abuses, states that adult survivors have many shared characteristics, which can include the medical symptoms of
insomnia, eating disorders, headaches, TMJ, asthma, self-mutilation or self-harming behaviors, and chronic physical complaints(Bach 1974). Along with the medical complaints, however, one would have to state that the psychological problems
are many and varied. One could assume that there would be a fear of closeness to anyone, since a child who is attacked has had a sacred trust stolen from
