on which we will focus is AT&T Wireless. And analysis of this type relies on more than simply finding information about the
company and plugging it into the paper. In this case, we will be examining a few areas in order to determine their impact on AT&T Wireless.
First, we will examine the economy of the United States in order to determine its impact in general on consumer buying habits, business
growth and other economic areas. We do this so we have a better understanding of what economic trends will be impacting our industry.
Second, the student has been asked to provide and analysis of the wireless industry both in terms of lifestyle/demand and also in terms of the Five Forces of
competition as defined by Michael Porter, a professor of business at Harvard University. The Five Forces model is only one of many that can be used to determine competition
within a particular industry, but we have taken the framework and made it fit on the wireless industry. Following that, the student
