As a result of that picture, the western world came away convinced that Chinese citizens lived within an oppressive government and that China would need to adhere to "human rights"
before hoping to enjoy the good things that trade with America would bring. However, although the student and the tank made
an excellent photo opportunity, the real truth is that most people in China are happy with the way things are and dont care for change. They dont feel that they
are unhappy. This, then, is the controversy of human rights - is human rights a concept dreamed up by the United States as an attempt to force the world to
change to meet the thought of "what is right" by American standards? Or is human rights a genuine attempt to ensure that everyone receives their just rewards, and their just
