The important issue in all of these studies has been, of course, just how AIDS is diagnosed. For the most part, simple blood tests are used, but readings on hemoglobin and other factors end up telling the true story - as AIDS is an immunity deficient disease, blood cell count, hemoglobin and CD4s are essential for measurement.
