Investigations is a private security agency based in New York. The agency is not a national one, but it does work throughout the country from its New York base.
It provides business, personal and residential security services and investigative services. Planned Goals and Implementation AAA-Allstate Security and Investigations already spans the
traditional spectrum of security companies, but it seeks to expand the number of services it offers. The alternative selected for focusing on for expansion is that of homeland security,
as it fits with AAA-Allstates existing services. In addition to the guard and personal services it offers, AAA-Allstate also offers security equipment installation
and maintenance for both commercial and residential clients. There are several nontraditional equipment items that are being touted as being beneficial for homeland security applications, and AAA-Allstate intends to
offer installation and maintenance of the most promising of these items, particularly the iPIX 360? camera (Commercial Security, 2004). Financial Projections and Analysis
"iPIX provides the only way to view and record an entire 360-degree scene with a fixed camera" (Commercial Security, 2004) and a network connection. Use of the device can
reduce the number of physical security guards required onsite, and the stationary nature of the camera reduces maintenance costs associated with mechanical panning cameras.
AAA-Allstate plans to install, operate and maintain iPIX cameras at 15 commercial sites each month for 12 months before reevaluating the program to assess for the need of additional
