Although most people believe that the greatest influences on teenage girls are their peers and the media, in actual fact the people with the most influence are their parents, who can guide their lives and life choices (Expect the best from a girl). I have found the above to be absolutely true. I am lucky to have many close friends, but the people who have had the greatest influence on me are my parents. I have always known that I wanted to become a professional and that a college education would be necessary to achieve that goal. My father is a college grad but my mother did not attend school beyond high school, and I know that she regrets that. She has often spoken of returning to school when my younger brother is out of the house, and I believe she may do so.
