San Diego is a beautiful city, and can reflect that in the paper by highlighting the many activities available there. The student might approach the subject by discussing the city
itself as follows. San Diego is tucked away in the far southwest corner of the United States and seems to be largely forgotten by the rest of the nation. But
it is in fact the eighth largest city in the country and a premiere vacation destination. It lies on the Pacific Coast and has a magnificent harbor; there are several
major naval bases there and cruise ships call weekly. Among its many attractions are Seaworld, the museums and theaters in Balboa Park, Old Town, and certainly the San Diego Zoological
Society, the parent organization of both the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Wild Animal Park. The weather is ideal with temperatures in the 70s most of the year;
winters are rarely colder than the mid-40s and summers almost never top the 80s. Some interesting facts about the city are that it is essentially a desert and imports
its water from Arizona. If it did not bring water in, the entire landscape would be a desert environment, mostly low scrub. Its also interesting that one of the largest
