on practically a daily basis, with advertisements swearing well wonder how we ever lived without. Ever since the Industrial Revolution, the sole purpose of technology has been to make
life easier. Whenever a newfangled piece of electronic wizardry comes off the assembly line, I immediately think, How can I use this to give myself more free time to
spend on the things I enjoy? There has, perhaps, been no more influential modern marvel than the computer. Once upon
a time, it was a huge monstrosity with a mind-boggling number of buttons to push, messages to program, tapes to change, and so many wires that it took a certified
technician to hook up and troubleshoot. But then, the computer became more "personal" - smaller, more user friendly like a television set, with fewer connections. They made typing
letters and reports, printing out spreadsheets and reports, adding graphics to presentations so much easier. Or so it seemed. I decided I had to have one, and when
I took my desktop PC out of the box, I was convinced this would be a match made in heaven. It would help me become a self-employed entrepreneur, and
the tasks that used take me hours complete would now be simply a matter of clicking a mouse. Well, as I soon learned, that was only if I could
figure out how to properly connect this device I had already convinced myself I couldnt live without. Many of the hardware connections have
