synthesis of classical leadership ideals with modern contemporary viewpoints on leadership from a managerial and institutional standpoint. As such, it represents some kind of instructive value for a wide variety
of individuals. While it ostensible exists as a book for military leadership, as published by the US Army College of Wars publication division, it also has value for the business
man or woman who wants to implement more effective leadership strategies into his or her organization, or the student who wishes to adopt a more proactive approach to his or
her studies, or even just the individual who wishes to gain a greater sense of control over his or her life. While the views presented within the text can often
diverge and in some cases even contradict, this merely represents the nuanced realistic approach to leadership that is mandated by the differing contexts of human reality. This paragraph helps
the student begin to outline the formal structure of Kolendas text. It is important to note that Kolendas book achieves its multifaceted structure precisely because it breaks with tradition and
