The business in question is a record company named Testify, the location is Detroit, MI and the music genre in which its involved is gospel. General Information
As mentioned, the entity in question is a recording business, operating under the name of Testify. The business location is in Detroit, MI, and its main
product is gospel music. We can assume, for purposes of this paper, that the product is divided into subcategories. These would be "hard" products (i.e., CDs and LPs/vinyl); digital distribution
and video productions. The interesting aspect about the recording industry is that music is not the only thing a company of this type
produces. There are some other products being offered; one of which are the artists (as artists sign exclusive contracts with labels for recording and distribution of their songs). The other
type of product offered is the production itself. The latter is somewhat more difficult to quantify, however, if there are trade secrets in terms of a specific "sound" (such as
the "Motown Sound," for example), this is something that needs to be considered under trademark or intellectual property law. Finally, we can
assume that Testify offers recording space for various singing groups to practice and to record demos. These artists wouldnt necessarily be part of the Testify stable of artists, but those
wanting to cut demos could rent the space - and a production engineer - for a set fee. The main question to
