are divided in terms of how and when the rapture and the second coming of Christ will unfold. Pretribulationists believe that the rapture will occur prior to the seven
years of tribulation on earth, that they will journey to heaven before all of the horrors of the tribulation on earth are inflicted on those that remain behind. Posttribulationists,
however, believe that they too will have to endure the seven years of tribulation. They too will have to face the mark of the beasts and be witnesses under
trial. In a lengthy online article titled "A Pretribulation Rapture of the Church: Does the Bible Teach It?" the argument
is made that there will be a so-called secret rapture, that Christs second coming will first result in a rising up of the "dead in Christ" then an almost simultaneous
transport of the previously dead Christians and those Christians that were still alive at the time of the second coming to Heaven. These pretribulationists believe that at the time
of the second coming Christians will automatically be with their Lord and be removed from the seven years of Tribulation that is to occur back on earth. The
counter view of rapture and Christs second coming, however, is that Christians will also have to endure the seven years of Tribulation before they finally enter their final award of
Heaven. The Tribulation will be a period where events will unfold in an intensity never before experienced by the world.
