cases where urine is demanded, but by and large, the organizations win and the individual is subject to testing at the whim of an employer. Many questions about morality crop
up in respect to this topic. What is a moral right? What is it to have privacy rights? Is the body considered private? Do people have a right
that blood or urine samples not be taken from their bodies at work? Does it matter what sort of work one does? The final question is important. Yes, it does
seem to matter what work one does as it relates to employer policies and court rulings. It seems that there is concern regarding pilots flying while inebriated and bus drivers
also being under the influence of chemicals. If people take the publics lives into their own hands, it is reasonable to ask that they be sober. Yet, the question of
privacy continues to trouble many. Even though people want drug free pilots and policemen to serve the people, should the public merely trust the individuals in the position, or is
a drug test needed? Utilitarianism supports the idea that the greater good is what is most important and theorists coming from this perspective would certainly support testing. After all, while
privacy is compromised, the ultimate end is improved. The likelihood of alcoholics and drug abusers lying about their activities is great. Therefore, drug testing should be sanctioned. Other theorists such
as Immanuel Kant might invoke his categorical imperative theory where maxims are tested. A maxim is something that can be willed as a universal law. In other words, if people
