is based on the belief that each individual has the capacity to identify factors that influence their perception of others and the way in which they function in the world.
A worldview can be influenced by social perceptions, religious identification and even by racial or ethic views. The worldview not only shapes the response of the individual to
others, but also identifies major factors that influence social, political and individual actions. As an individual, my worldview is inherently impacted
by my family history, socialization, current family status and my cultural background. I am a Filipino male who grew up in a patriarchal family. My father made his
career in the military, and my identification from childhood was with a man who had a strong sense of family, religion, and separate roles for men and women. As
a result of this family environment, I often felt compelled to apply my family culture to my interaction with others, especially women. My father, a staunch Republican and a
Roman Catholic, related his social beliefs through the structure of our family. As a result, I was influenced by this view as I grew into adulthood.
My worldview was subsequently influenced by my education. My education provided me with the opportunity to assess and understand the influences of culture
