of the biggest decisions anyone will make in their lives. People can choose to have a child for a variety of reasons, and there are perhaps just as many, if
not more, reasons for not having a child. As such the decision could be a difficult one and is, regardless, a major decision for many people. The following paper offers
several reasons one would choose to have a child. A Major Decision: Having a Child The first reason to make the major decision of having a child revolves
around valuing family life. Being married and obviously coming from a family with children, it seems quite natural to continue that tradition, of sorts. Family life can seem all but
thwarted when it only consists of a husband and a wife and it feels natural to want to extend that family, creating an environment that nurtures that love of family
life. Another reason, which comes only after careful thought, is that which involves knowing or believing one could do an adequate job at parenting. As a mother, or a
potential mother, the obstacles and sacrifices are enormous and the entire weight of being a mother is not truly known until a person really had a child and begins that
journey. But, in making the decision to have a child one looks within themselves and examines if they are the type of person who can make the sacrifices and love
unconditionally. If a person feels comfortable knowing they are capable of doing these things, and perhaps are capable of financially raising a child and offering a good family structure, then
having a child is likely the correct thing to do for that individual. One must, however, understand that as good a parent as they think they can be, challenges will
