and many fingers pointed at politicians. One side suggests that the other does not care about the people. One side contends that it is just to allow business owners to
keep much of their profit, while another side suggests that sharing the wealth is the right thing to do. Yet, while it would seem logical to suggest that "sharing" is
more "just" than hoarding for example, that does not mean profiting is sinful. Indeed, there is a gray area through history, and some philosophers have recognized this. In fact, from
the early part of history, this discussion has arisen and was even prominent in Platos writings. In the Republic, Plato does emphasize morality and he also looks at how
society should be ordered. He says: "I do not say to every man, but to a good man, is, that he has had no occasion to deceive or to defraud
others, either intentionally or unintentionally; and when he departs to the world below he is not in any apprehension about offerings due to the gods or debts which he owes
to men" (Plato, 360 BCE). Here, he emphasizes that men, all men, are to be good. They are to be honest. Certainly, he means that this should apply to the
average politician. Certainly, wisdom is seen as including morality. In terms of knowledge and wisdom, another question crops up. That is, even if such knowledge and wisdom is
possible for one human being to attain, should it be the sole criterion for holding either limited or absolute political power ? Again, morality must enter the picture and
it is presumed that Plato meant morality to be intertwined with wisdom. This would render a just society. Yet, there must be more precise dictums to lead to a society
