In order to increase efficiency of the way that holiday dates were allocated, we will assume that the organization is facing a dispute following an attempt to make a change in the processes he used, which does not change the total entitlement of each employee, the changes the way in which they may, or may not, get their preferred holiday dates. In the past chosen dates were allocated on a system based on seniority, followed by links service. This meant that individuals who had the highest level of seniority, with been with the company longest, or likely to get the chosen dates, and individuals who were relatively junior which the company were unlikely to get their preferred take over the holiday period. However, this created in the way that it is allocated, especially when it requests made by senior on long-standing staff. The organization is introducing system, in which holiday dates need to be submitted by a specific date to be allocated on the seniority basis, with no preference given for terms of service. Any holiday requests submitted after a specific cut-off date will be allocated strictly on a first-come first-served basis, with no priority given to seniority. This will create a much more effective way of allocating holidays, reduce the workload on the human resources, and create a higher level of transparency in the way that holidays allocated.
