me, except of course when things slow down to a whisper before they start up again into my right or wrong stretches of time. Some might contend that it is
my doing. I am thinking negative thoughts, interpreting everything in a negative way or actually creating negativity through the law of karma. Similarly, when things go right, it could be
that I was in a good mood. One thing goes right so everything looks rosy. Whatever the reason for the stretches of negative or positive time periods, there is one
day I will never forget. I woke up to cat puke instead of a blaring alarm. The alarm had seemingly not gone off and I had to get up and
clean up the vomit before I could even fathom getting ready for work. Everything was blinking--the clock, the VCR, the telephone answering machine--and then I realized there had been a
power outage at some point. After gathering paper towels from a near empty roll, I cleaned up my bed. The last roll of paper towels in the house was insufficient
for the task and so I ended up using tissues. Feeling rather grimy, I realized that being late for work was a certainty. I might as well take a shower.
I hurried, in an effort to at least reduce the amount of time I would walk into the door of the Target store and punch my time card. Although I
realized I had gotten off on the wrong side of the bed, I thought I would refresh myself and start over again. But there was no hot water and so
after soaping up, I quickly rinsed and dried myself with the only towel left in the bathroom--an oversized washcloth. It did the job, but my day was just beginning. It
