he does not want tainted goods. Angela goes home and when her brothers find out about the predicament they are angry and kill Santiago, the boy who deflowered Angela. While
that is the basis of the plot, the novel is something that is rather intricate. There are of course a great many details in this compelling novel. While the plot
is simple structurally, the narrative flow is not linear. In writing a novel, there are various ways to go about it. One way is to write a story that is
revealed from beginning to end. In a chronological version of this story, for example, one might see the events surrounding the affair of Angela and Santiago, how they meet and
so forth, and then go on to see them part. What might be revealed is how and why Angela comes to meet and marry Bayardo. The wedding and wedding night
would come next. Finally, in the end, Santiago would be killed and life after that would be examined. Of course, while that might make an interesting story, there would be
a lack of tension, at least at the beginning. In a chronological version, Marquez might relay the boring details of Angelas upbringing and even when told in an interesting manner,
it might take quite a while to reveal the entire plot. Even with foreshadowing, telling a story in a linear fashion does have its drawbacks. Of course, while many books
are more liner than this work at least, there are other reasons why the author moves back and forth in time. Rather than focusing on the story of Angela, how
her virginity is lost and how she comes to marry, the story focuses on the murder victim. It opens by looking at Santiagos life, his family and what he does
