worse than most. To begin with, here is an industry that was hit during the early part of the 2000s as a result of the terrorist attacks of September 11,

with the result being that airlines were hit hard twice within a short six year period. Therefore, the airline industry is ripe with potential for making intriguing case studies in
the matter of profitability and ability to effectively implement a profitable culture within an organization. In particular, smaller airlines like Jet Blue are worthy of examination and analysis. Consequently, this
paper will provide an overview of Jet Blues financial and organizational imperatives over the last several years, with an eye towards how those strategies have enabled Jet Blue to survive
