true of the use of nature and natural elements in the works of the times greatest literature, including William Blakes, The Schoolboy, and Lord Byrons infamous Don Juan. The story
of Don Juan first appears in an old Spanish legend concerning a handsome but unscrupulous man who seduces the daughter of the commander of Seville and then, when challenged, kills
her father in a duel. In the original version, Don Juan mockingly invites the statue of the father to a feast; the statue appears at the banquet and ushers Don
Juan to hell. There are many re-tellings of this story in drama and theatre; Mozart used the story for his opera Don Giovanni. One of the more notable features of
the opening canto is the philosophical way in which it starts "I need a hero for my story". In stanzas 1-5 he states that there are no more heroes.

proactive. Blakes The Schoolboy, finds the main character also longing for that which he cannot have; his freedom from schoolwork. Because he must study about those things that will
make him a man, he must forego running in the fields and playing in the meadows. "How can the bird that is born for joy/Sit in a cage and sing?"(Blake

said that Byrons work is a dedication to the politics of love, and moreover a dedication to the events of the day. Pretentious people seem to be a favorite target.
