Aspirin (Patt) actually consists of two issues. First, what the rule in Texas states about common law marriages (i.e., marriages not officiated by a licensed and appropriate state official) and
property issues that are resulting from either Brads survival or demise. Brief Answer The brief answer here is that 1) According to
the state of Texas, Brad and Jenn would not be considered legally married and 2) because of this, Jenn would not be entitled to Brads property upon his death. If
she can file a statement with the court annulling her relationship with Brad, that could change things. But there is still the question of whether these two are involved in
an informal (or common law) marriage. Statement of Facts Brad Patt and Jenn Aspirin began dating while in high school, and took
their relationship into college. Following their college career, the couple moved into a house, opened a bank account together and, on their tenth anniversary of being together, Brad bought Jenn
a diamond ring and put it on her fourth finger. They had charge accounts together as well. During the following years, the couple had two children, with both birth certificates
showing Jenn and Brad as the parents. Through the following years, Jenn and Brad passed themselves off as a married couple, with those in the neighborhood addressing Jenn as "Mrs.
Patt," something that Brad enjoyed. Brad enlisted in a war during this period. Jenn, in the meantime, engaged in an adulterous affair, which
