Myths are more often than not associated with religion, and many today may believe that Jesus and his position as the Son
of God was nothing but a myth, and so the Christian religion is a myth. Others may argue that Muhammed and the Muslim religion are essentially myth and mythical belief
systems. In these respects myth can be connected to general beliefs that many adhere to. With that in mind the following paper examines a myth that is long lived, concerning
how good will always prevail. The paper illustrates how most people believe this, despite the fact that history does not seem to support such a notion. Modern Myth:
Good Will Prevail Throughout history people have generally believed that the good will prevail, that good will always ultimately win over evil, and that evil has no true ultimate power.
